It’s Been a While…

Just like the song says… Lol.

The plan was to build this website and turn it into my creative hub… which it still is, but I have neglected it a bit.

I could use the excuse that life gets in the way, but… that’s the thing. All of this is life. And it depends on us how we handle it. The challenges, the unexpected turns, those moments when we need to throw the plan out the window and just roll with it.

I’ve made peace with my supposed schedule of writing, videos, and all of that. I’ve allowed myself to stop, regroup, and start again.

Because sometimes that’s exactly what we need.

We need to go back to where it all started and remember why it started.

Lately, I’ve felt the need to strip back the layers and recalibrate my path again. I fell off the wagon with my meditation practice, my yoga practice, and many of the other things I was doing for myself. Somewhere in the rush of doing things for others, more teaching, more work, more of the things that are good but… what about my plan? I stopped making as much space for the things that were just for me.

And the good thing about starting again is that we never really start from scratch.

We come back to that starting point with more knowledge, more experiences, and probably a slightly different version of ourselves.

So, basically, it’s not starting again from zero.

It’s starting again with all the growth that has already happened.

But if starting again doesn’t sound so bad, if we’re coming back with more knowledge, more experience, and a little more understanding of ourselves, why is it so damn hard?

Why do we complicate things so much?

We attach. We suffer. We replay.

There’s this idea that the initial physiological response to an emotion can pass relatively quickly, but what often keeps it alive is everything that comes after. The memories, the thoughts, the stories we tell ourselves, the constant replaying of what happened.

So, what if we learned to tell our brains: That already happened. You don’t need to live it again.

What if we learned to move on?

But then… what happens when we don’t want to move on?

Sometimes holding on feels easier. Not necessarily because we want to suffer, but because letting go means accepting that something is over. A plan, an experience, a moment, a version of ourselves.

And then what?

Maybe that’s what makes starting again so hard. We know what we’re leaving behind, but we have absolutely no idea what we’re walking towards.

Maybe moving on isn’t really about forgetting. Maybe it’s about becoming comfortable with not knowing what comes next.

And maybe that’s the secret of life… learning to let go.

Let go of the plan. The schedule. The expectations. The experience. The version of how we thought things were supposed to go.

But then… what do we keep?

The lessons? The memories? The fun? The love? The little pieces of ourselves we discovered along the way?

Maybe starting again isn’t about forgetting what happened or throwing everything away. Maybe it’s about choosing what we carry with us and what we’re finally ready to leave behind.

And what should we keep?

Well, my dear friends… that, I’ll leave for you to decide.
